Khaleel, 13, was severely injured on April 22, 2024, when a bomb struck on his way to Gaza City barber, requiring emergency amputation of both his legs. He also sustained a head injury, now stabilized. His mother and sister are with him in Chicago. He’s joined by Steve Sosebee, founder of HEAL Palestine, that brings injured young people from Gaza to the US for pro-bone surgery and other medical care.
