In the morning, Rev. Sara Ofner-Seals, Plymouth Church Fort Wayne, interviews Sheikh Hamza Sharif, the spiritual leader of the Universal Education Foundation, one of Fort Wayne’s prominent mosques. Sheikh Hamza recently wrote an important and strong response to the Islamophobic rhetoric of Indiana’s lieutenant governor in which Mr. Beckwith said he “hates Islam”, and described it as a “demonic death cult.”

After a free lunch, supplied by Halal Eats, we hear from Imam Ayman Soliman, Muslim chaplain in at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Imam Soliman was granted asylum under Trump 1.0, detained by ICE under Trump 2.0 for ten weeks. Fear of deportation, abuse, isolation, and the community that fought for his release, September, 2025.
